Vegetables are natural sources of many nutrients including vitamin A, vitamin C, dietary fiber, folic acid and potassium. Lowland vegetables rich in potassium include squash, taro, sweet potatoes, Bamboo shoots and Okra.
Unlike highland vegetables, there are multiple sources of our vegetables including Ilocos, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan and CALABARZON.
Most lowland vegetables are green in color, making it a great source of vitamin C and vitamin B.
